Oklahoma Lottery
Oklahoma is right in the middle of the tornado corridor, which means a lot of strong wind blows your way when you live there. You best be prepared for it, they say, and do what you can to have the winds blow in your favor. The Oklahoma State Lottery plays its part in helping out. Oklahomans have won some $129 million worth of prizes since 2005.
Proceeds from ticket sales go to the Oklahoma Education Lottery Trust Fund. Dozens of Oklahoma State Lottery winners have been produced throughout its existence, including a few multi-millionaires. Perhaps the luckiest of those Okies, as they like to call themselves, was Don and Joyce Harvey, who won $106 million off Powerball back in 2007.
Powerball and Oklahoma lottery Mega Millions are the most popular games in the state, followed by such favorites as Lotto America, Lucky for Life, Pick 3, and Cash 5. Oklahoma lottery tickets can be purchased from any participating retail outlet across the state.
The lottery in Oklahoma has over 1800 retail partners, who contributed to sales of more than $242.5 million. In 2019, more than $15.2 million in commission was paid out to retailers for ticket sales and cash-ins.
Persons must be 18 or older to play. Oklahoma lottery tickets can be bought from authorized retailers all over the state. No online ticket sales are possible. An Oklahoma lottery app is available, but its functionality is limited to checking Oklahoma lottery results, generating random numbers, and checking your numbers.
The app is not an Oklahoma lottery ticket scanner for checking draw or scratch tickets or Oklahoma lottery codes.
