About the Pennsylvania Lottery

The Pennsylvania state lottery was established in 1971, and ticket sales for a $50 000 jackpot game commenced in 1972. The proceeds of the lottery go towards programs in support of the elderly. The lottery in Pennsylvania has raised $29 billion for programs related to senior care. You don’t need to wait for retirement to play, as 18 is the lottery’s legal age.

Most players chase the big jackpots of Mega Millions and Pennsylvania lottery Powerball. Other great titles also have enthusiastic followers. These include Match 6, Cash4Life, Cash 5, Pick 5, Pick 4, Pick 3, and Pick 2.

The Pennsylvania State Lottery has an impressive selection of scratch games, known as scratch-offs in this state. You can pick them up for anything from $1 to $20, and they yield prizes from $5000 to $1 million. Fast Play – Active Games are also played online. These are similar to scratch-offs but without the need to scratch. Forever innovative, this lottery also has a virtual sports offering.

This lets you bet on virtual horses or virtual cars on Xpress Sports. Pennsylvania Lucky for Life is known as Cash4Life, but the fantastic weekly income is the same.

Pennsylvania Lottery FAQ

Players over 18 can buy tickets and Pennsylvania lottery scratch cards and register with iLottery. Online purchase of lottery tickets is impossible, but registering an account gives you access to iLottery games that you can play for money. You can also play these games on the Pennsylvania lottery app.

The app provides info on Pennsylvania lottery results and Pennsylvania lottery codes. It also acts as a Pennsylvania lottery ticket scanner that lets you check your tickets.

In addition to the statewide games like Powerball and Pennsylvania lottery Mega Millions, the lottery in Pennsylvania offers seven different games. These are as follows:

Match 6 lets you select six numbers from 1 to 49, while in Cash4Life you have to select five numbers from 1 to 60. Cash 5 requires five numbers from 1 to 43. Pick 5, Pick 4, Pick 3 and Pick 2 requires different play styles as part of your betting. For the most part though, it’s about picking the number of digits required in the name and adding your personal touch.

When the Pennsylvania lottery numbers match your selection, it’s time to claim. Winners can claim all prizes up to $2500 at participating retailers, or by mail. Prizes over $2500 require completing a claim form that winners mail to the lottery with the signed ticket.

Players can claim Jackpot prizes for Powerball, Mega Millions, and Cash4Life in person at lottery headquarters. Claims generally expire about one year after the draw or the end-sale date. Your check should reach you in four weeks.

Winning the Mega Millions jackpot comes at odds of 1 in 302 million. In the case of Powerball, it’s 1 in 175 million. Other odds are as follows:

Match 6: 1 in 4.6 million

Cash4Life: 1 in 21.9 million

Pick 5: 1 in 100 000

Pick 4: 1 in 10 000
