When you use the mail option, you will need to enter your personal information on the back of the card and sign it. Prizes from $600 and above must be claimed from the Lottery Headquarters, or through the mail.

Prizes won from New Jersey lottery winning numbers bought through Jackpocket are added to your balance if under $600. Prizes up to $5,999.99 are mailed to users and then claimed through the lottery’s standard process. In New Jersey, the cut off time for Mega Millions is 10:45 pm, 15 minutes before the draw. For Powerball, it’s 9:59 pm, or 1 hour before the draw. The results of the New Jersey Lottery are available as follows:

What Is the New Jersey Lottery Second Chance?

 

You can enter non-winning tickets into New Jersey lottery second chance draws. These draws are announced in the VIP Club and. Payouts over $10,000 by the New Jersey Lottery carry the following tax rates.

 

5% for Lottery payouts between $10,001 and $500,000;

8% for Lottery payouts over $500,000; and

8% for Lottery payouts over $10,000, if the person does not provide a valid Taxpayer Identification Number.

In addition, a federal tax of 24% will be levied in each case.
